Launch of the Metzner AM 90 cutting & stripping machines.

| 1990 |
Mr. Böhm retires and Klaus Metzner takes over the shares held by Mr. Böhm. The company is renamed ”Metzner Maschinenbau GmbH”.

Launch of the new Triathlon system the first fully automatic wire processing machine with integrated data import facility from electrical CAD programs and automatic length calculation for all wires.

Move to larger premises at Messerschmittstrasse in Neu-Ulm.

Launch of the AM 5000 an electronic cutting & stripping machine using the Metzner patented rotating cutting system for cables up to 30 mm outer diameter.

Launch of the first ever cutting machine for pre-split corrugated tubes using the patented “gear-feed laser cutting and positioning method“.

Take over by Mr. Gerhard Rauch as new president of “Metzner Maschinenbau GmbH”.

Launch of the new AM 5000 series with outstanding performance for large wire size processing of cables up 30 mm outer diameter.
