REACH Regulations - Statement of Compliance

Statement with regard to REACH (Regulation EC 1907/2006 concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals).

The REACH regulation stipulates that all chemical substances, which are produced in quantities of more than one tonne per year may only be marketed in the European Union if they have been previously pre-registered or registered.

Metzner does not produce chemical materials of any kind. We only sell products, which, in the legal sense are “Products” and which are not defined as “Materials” or “Preparations” (In accordance with Article 3 Definitions”. In accordance with the REACH regulations, Metzner is a “downstream user” and is in no way obliged or required to register.

Nevertheless, in the interests of both ourselves and of our customers, we are in constant dialogue with our suppliers in order to ensure that all products that are delivered to us are registered as having REACH conformity. We can be sure that all relevant Metzner suppliers have undertaken to pre-register all delivered chemical materials. With the publication of the first Candidate List we can furthermore confirm that none of our suppliers’ materials contains “substances of very high concern (SVHC)” in concentrations which exceed the permitted limits.
