		Triathlon Soft® communicates with your CAE system To make work easier for creating a layout, Triathlon Soft® communicates with your CAE system via special interfaces and gets the data available there in the form of a: wiring list, module parts list and terminal strip parts list. Based on this, a production-oriented layout is created quickly and easily with objects such as: cable channel, DIN rail, component or module, field, blocked field and outlet point.

		Automatic cable routing Observing the wiring rules which are stored in the program settings, Triathlon Soft® calculates the exact length for every cable along the channels fully automatically and takes channel options and specific contact data for individual components into consideration. The separate routing of control and power lines, as well as the separate routing of different potentials, are only two examples of the many wiring rules. The software observes the defined filling degrees of the cable channels and calculates a three-dimensional cable route automatically and reliably.

		Automatic provision of drilling and milling data for mechanical machining Mounting plates and control cabinet housings must usually be machined job-specifically for mounting and fastening the inserted components. Triathlon Soft® automatically generates all NC machining data for automatic machining on a drilling/milling system based on the layout. The data is transferred here either in DXF format or via machine-specific interfaces.

		CAE system interfaces Import interfaces are realized for data acceptance for the following CAE systems: EPLAN, Elcad, Ruplan, Sigraph-ET, Caddy, ECD-Cad, ESP, TreeCad, Elocad, WS-Cad, CAE33, Promis, Eltime and Comos PT/ET. There still exist layout interfaces for the following systems: Elcad (Elcad-Fastwire), ElproCad, Caddy, Autocad CWC, and COMOS PT/ET. Additional interfaces are realized as needed.

		More benefits The use of Triathlon Soft® in combination with the Triathlon cable centre results in time and cost savings. For single work steps, such as cable assembly, labelling or mechanical machining, time savings of up to 70% can be reached. By labelling all cables, the circuit diagram is usually not needed for wiring, and time savings of up to 50% can be reached. The use of exactly pre-assembled conductors with labels drastically reduces the number of wiring errors.
