Circular Knife Cutting Machines
The Metzner CCM machines are designed specifically to meet the material requirements of steel-reinforced sealing profiles and tubes as well as sponge rubber seals. The circular circular knife provides the correct conditions for penetration and cutting of rubber and metal and gives extremely good cutting quality by the combination with other parameters such as optimized material in-feed, knife rotation speed and direction, knife penetration rate and lubrication.
The freely-programmable controls enable the varying demands of different profile contours and compounds to be exactly matched, saved in a single working program and called up by the press of a button. Thanks to the intuitive logical operator guide, a new processing program can be created in a few minutes.
All Metzner CCM machines can be supplied with a knife speed range from 2.000 – 6.000 rpm or 4.000 – 12.000 rpm. This means that, as well as circular knives, abrasive discs can also be used in combination with a profile clamping system to optimize the end cut surface quality by a grinding action. Metzner CCM machines are equipped with a linear servo-drive for the circular knife arm movement, which allows different speeds to be used for different material sections. For example: a gentle knife penetration or exit to reduce the formation of sprags and burrs. The CCM 6 also has a micro-spray system as standard for cooling the circular knife. The CCM 4 and CCM 5 have water cooling as standard and can be equipped with the micro-spray system as a no-cost alternative. |
