The ST-OB is designed for maximum load capacity and durability. At the heart of the machine is a pneumatic cylinder developed exclusively for this model, which transmits the cutting force with pinpoint accuracy.
Consistently perfect results—thanks to adjustable contact pressure
A particular advantage for pressure-sensitive or highly elastic products: The contact pressure can be adjusted with extreme precision using a dial. This mechanism allows for particularly gentle and precise adjustment of the contact pressure between the conveyor belts.
This enables a flexible response to material tolerances or different batches – for consistently perfect results.

Precise Guidance of Thin Materials with the Metzner QSW
The Metztner QSW was specifically designed as a film, strip, and belt cutting machine. For this reason, the material is guided not by belts but by two rollers. These rollers can be adjusted relative to one another.
This ensures that even thin materials are guided into the correct position. This is a major advantage for films and other materials with low stiffness, which—due to their material properties—tend to curl or shift easily when guided only from the side.
