After precise cutting to length, the downstream material handling system determines the overall success of the line. The automatic material and cable stackers in Metzner’s MA series ensure gentle, synchronized transport and orderly stacking of cables, strands, and hoses up to 30 mm in diameter.
Thanks to the integrated dual-tank design, production batches are separated fully automatically—ensuring maximum machine uptime without labor-intensive interruptions.
Smooth, uninterrupted transport—even with challenging materials
Straight, long cuts – or particularly thin, flexible cables and hoses – are prone to sagging, twisting, or becoming tangled at high cycle rates. The Metzner MA placement units feature a highly dynamic conveyor belt that operates precisely in sync with the work cycle of the upstream cutting and stripping machine.
The cut material is picked up immediately at the cutting point, guided in a straight line, and actively conveyed to the storage area. The result is a completely congestion-free flow of material, even at maximum speeds.
Maximum Productivity Through Uninterrupted Batch Separation
Traditional discharge tables often require the machine to stop as soon as a target number of parts is reached and the parts must be removed. This is not the case with the Metzner MA Series: The discharge tables are equipped with an intelligent two-stage system (active batch tray and catch tray). Once the defined number of parts is reached, the batch is automatically ejected. The machine continues producing the next batch without delay. This frees up valuable time for your operators to focus on other tasks and eliminates the risk of mixing up different orders.

High belt speed: Synchronous material feed at the machine cycle rate of up to 160 m/min. Automatic sorting via separate batch and collection trays – reliably prevents batch mixing. While the finished batch is being removed, production of the next batch continues without interruption. For flexible hoses, thin individual strands, and dimensionally stable cables up to 30 mm in diameter.
Standard models for cut lengths up to 2 m, 4 m, or 6 m (custom lengths available upon request). Gentle belt transport prevents deformation, stretching, or scratches on the material being cut.
